Steel sculpture "Plana" in two colours with a concrete base - there's music in it

Floating geometric shapes in a seemingly random arrangement - and what do you discover inside? Piano keys, organ pipes, supporting pillars for an imaginary building or even a stylised face in the style of Cubism? "Plana" leaves room for interpretation; what we see changes with the viewing angle, the incidence of light, the location and other surrounding objects. A timeless composition, made of high-quality industrial steel 100% by hand and supported on a cube of concrete, which contrasts the cool, smooth steel sculpture with its characteristically rough surface, riddled with fine cracks and air pockets. Each piece is therefore unique. Meanwhile, the strict form of the rhombuses brings order and structure to the supposed "chaos" of the movement. A movement that only emerges in the proverbial "eye of the beholder", as it is actually a rigid metal construction.

Like all our steel sculptures, "Plana" is also available in two sizes: With a height of 76 or 65 cm and each measuring approx. 18 cm in width , it is an art object that makes a strong statement both on the floor and on a side table or sideboard. It goes without saying that the sculpture with its purist look and concrete base harmonises perfectly with all our concrete furniture series, such as Opus, Angulus or Tabula.

The surface finish of the steel sculpture is either left untreated - for an authentic "industrial look" - or can be coated with a special gold-look metal lacquer in our in-house workshop at the end of the manufacturing process, which gives the sculpture a more elegant touch.

By the way: "Plana", like all sculptures from CO33, is weatherproof thanks to the concrete and steel materials used and is therefore also suitable for outdoor installation, whether as an eye-catcher in the front garden or prominently placed on the patio.
