The name of this pendant lamp says it all, as its shape and form are strongly reminiscent of the moon, our earth's satellite. TRABANT has received several awards for its uniqueness.
With this minimalist concrete luminaire, designer Joachim Manz has deliberately refrained from mechanically compacting the concrete, so that the very smooth spherical surface of the hand-made concrete luminaire is irregularly interspersed with blowholes and air pockets. This different, lively surface texture makes each luminaire unique.
With his luminaires, the artist creates haunting plays of light that dissolve the boundaries between form and space. He also places sculptures in public spaces, builds architectural miniatures and designs objects for use.
TRABANT 3 is designed in such a way that a concrete sphere hangs from a thin wire cable, with one segment on the underside replaced by a high-quality glass lens (matt or clear) with the same curvature. The angle of the lens of this pendant luminaire cannot be adjusted.
Non-adjustable pendant light made of pigmented special concrete, glass lens optionally matt or clear. Sphere diameter: 140 mm.
Each luminaire is numbered consecutively and bears the TECNOLUMEN signet.
