Sculpture "Quadrata" steel with concrete - squaring the circle for friends of affordable art.

Do you like 20th century abstract art, paintings by Kandinsky, Mondrian or Sonia Delaunay? Then you will love "Quadrata", because this sculpture actually looks a little as if one of the works of the aforementioned had simply risen from the wall to now take its place in your living room. Metal squares in different sizes, some solid, some consisting only of their outer frame, loosely grouped around each other, as if by chance and yet seemingly following an inner order: this is how the steel sculpture presents itself, which is exclusively available from us in two sizes, for placing on a table or sideboard or standing freely in the room. The concrete base, which keeps the floating steel construction in balance, forms a perfect unit with the metal squares thanks to its cube shape. Especially in the variant with the sculpture made of hammered, untreated steel and a base in anthracite grey, a fascinating play with the spatial effect is thus created by the combination of the second and third dimension. But even in a different colour scheme - for example with a light grey base in a classic concrete look or in the particularly noble-looking "gold" version, in which we cover the raw steel with a matt shimmering lacquer once the sculpture is finished - "Quadrata" always appears as a genuine small work of art and not as a mere decorative object. The price on the other hand should reassure all those who feared having to spend the usual sums on the gallery market for a sculpture of this kind.

Like each of our sculptures, "Quadrata" is made individually and 100% by hand in the CO33 workshop and is therefore unique in itself. The concrete base is made of exactly the same high-quality concrete as our design furniture and was intentionally left by us with its original, rough "earthy" structure to form an attractive contrast to the smooth, cool surface of the steel sculpture.
